Need help. My Muhammed Fadhel's oud's face severely damaged.
Hello everybody,
It's been a long time since I last posted here.
You see, I have a Fadhel oud that I purchased 6 or 7 years ago from one of the respected members here and it is (was in my case) a beautiful oud with
amazing sound (it is thought to be the last out Muhammed Fadhel made) until something horrible happened to it.
We had an earthquake here in Japan (as usual) and usually nothing happens but this time thing collapsed in my studio and I ended up losing the face of
my Fadhel oud.😔

I feel really sad about what happened to this beauty, and honestly don't know what to do. We don't have luthers here in Japan who are able to fix it.

I think from looking at this picture, it's possible to save this Oud and this face. Seems the cracks happened straight. I am pretty sure there are
good luthiers in Japan.

Do you have any contacts here in Japan? Cuz I myself could not find one luthier who was willing to even touch it. They were all scared of dealing
with a delicate and beautiful instrument like this.
I thought about contacting you or Nazih Gadhban to see if it can be fixed at your workshop, but the shipping back and forth is gonna be high.

I know Nazih is friends with a famous japanese luthier, maybe he can give him advice on how to fix it. I would contact nazih. The most important thing
is to not try to touch the cracks and try to put it back yourself. The spruce is soft so it can dent and then the cracks won't match to glue back
together.

I've already sent him a message on Facebook but haven't heard back from him yet. Will wait another day before I email him.
I also heard back from Nazih Gadhban and he remembered me As I have bought an
amazing oud from him years ago, but he still remember and he even names the oud I bought from him. An amazing and very kind man. Anyway, he also
promised me to contact the person he knows in Japan and will get back to me about that.
Again, thank you so very much John, majnuunNavid, and Samir for your amazing help and support. Really appreciate it. I was never wrong when I said
this community and its members are amazing and unique and just want to help.

My apologies. I know it's been a long time since I posted this, but you are right, I thought that I had emailed him, but then I found that my email
didn't go through for some reason. After all that time, I just emailed him again hoping that he will get it this time and that I will find a solution
to my Oud.
