First Samai You've learn't
Hello Everyone ,
i've been learning oud for a couple of months , i just recently managed to understand how to Read/Play Music notation and i decided to learn My first
Samai , Am interested in Samai Rast by Tatyos efendi , i'll welcome any tips and am interested in your answer in this question , "What was your first
Samai piece you've learnt ? "

I agree completely -- good choice. (The first song you should learn in 10/8 is "Lamma Bada," but this muwashah doesn't really qualify as a "samai" in
my mind.) Once you are comfortable with the Samai Bayati Qadim, try Tatyos' Efendi's Samai Hijaz Kar Kurd ("Kurdilihicazkar Saz Semaisi" in
Turkish).
I am no "non-Western meter" specialist myself. It just takes some practice and perserverance. I was going to perform the Tatyos Efendi piece a few
weeks ago to a roomful of Turks, but after running the tune several times with my percussionist, decided I wasn't ready.  Just keep working on it; you'll get the feel eventually. Also, try listening to a lot
of samai recordings while following the score.

i've kept listening to this the whole day , i like it .. i couldn't find the musical note for it but i've found another Oud Teacher , Tunisian

I've learnt Lamma Bada around 2 Months ago , i Definitely still dont feel anything close to "comfortable" with a 10/8 meter , am putting alot of
effort and time into oud lately , its all self taught so am thinking of getting a teacher soon to right all the wrongs am doing even though am doing
my best not to pick up any bad habits .
i personally , i Consider Munir Bashir the Greatest Oudist , i might change my opinion in the future but i hardly think so , i've listened to it before its great

Do you mean this one? If so, this is the only score I know of, and it's really hard to read. Do you have a cleaner score?

But it's not ideal for the reason that the software does not support quartertones. You could always print it out and annotate it.
Does anyone have a recording of this samai? I have never heard one.
