Nile shop ouds, which one to buy?

Hello everyone, this is a beginner asking for advice on buying a low-end oud. I have heard a lot about the ouds at the nile shop on ebay, and that they are decent. Recently I had bought a very poor oud from someone on ebay, the Rosewood oud made in Pakistan. It is the first picture posted. Honestly it is not worth owning at all. Currently I am trying to sell it for a lower price than I got it for, because it would be a crime to sell it for anything close to $300. I was told by some forum members that I could get a better oud from the nile shop and for a better price.
I am posting the pictures of some of the ouds I found, along with the prices. I'm wondering if any of them are at least better than the one I have, and if they are playable. If anyone could help me at all with identifying the models or their quality, or offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

this first oud is the one I own :(
the rest will be in the following posts because I do not know how to post multiple images.

Thank you very very much

I don't know how many times I've heard the same story about Pakistani made ouds and lutes. The ouds and lutes from this Pakistan company are just rubbish. Several onlines stores have their instruments and I can't understand that arn't ashamed to sell this kind of garbage.
Any oud from Egypt (I've tried myself), is much better than a Pakistan ¨oud¨ . I would recommend you not to choose the one with a bowl covered with MOP.

Best wishes

hello,

Hi Oudazim,

I was kinda curious about these ouds myself when I first joined this forum. I have learnt alot from the members since then. you might wanna check further with Mike and the others first,

but from what I heard I think that the Nile shop can borker a deal with a really well-known oud maker in Egypt called Maurice Shehata, who has sold ouds to the pros in the Middle East.

There are seveal of his ouds on sale here in the forum at this point. The links are below, The ouds are a little bit more expensive than the ones in the Nile shops, but these are top quality. I think they are still on sale, but u might wanna check.

Hi Mike
I hope you don't mind. I just find them really cool doing the air guitar ensemble.
This is a lot more fun than the superbowl.

If one of those little creatures could give me an opinion on any of those ouds, I wouldn't mind. Just kidding I'm contacting Yeahi eventually.

Hey OudZim1,
Ask Yehia if any of those ouds are made by Mourad el-Turki. If they are, then they aren't bad ouds. I used to have one. Go to David Parfitt's Website, and scroll down to my name. Pictures 5, 6, and 7 are of that oud.
Good luck,
Mike
