Two-day oud course in Nantes (France)
Dear all,
For the third year now, we are looking for a oud player to conduct a two-day course in Nantes (France) during a weekend in October 2015, dates are to
be determined based on availability.
Our previous sessions were great and I want to thank Adel Salameh who inaugurate the first session and Mohammad Abozekry who came in September 2014.

Dear oud lovers
We are pleased to inform you that our third oud course will be led by Khaled Ben Yahia on 17 and 18 October 2015.
International musician and oud virtuoso Khaled Ben Yahia is a professor at the National Conservatory of Nice.
During this course, students will study the following topics:
The various techniques of the risha :
- The Syrian-Egyptian school, North African school, and Turkish school in different forms (Nuba Arab-Andalusian, Sammai, Tahmila, Doulebs and
Bashrafs) ...
- The melodic-rhythmic structures and their interpretation (different techniques used)
improvisation:
- The art of improvisation (Takassim and Istikhbar): the melody ornamentation, the use of the main Maqams (modes)
- Introduction to Arab-Andalusian song and its dimension in the oud technique.
The course is open to beginners (at least one year of practice), intermediate and advanced. (levels will not be mixed)
The days will start at 10:30 and will end at 5:00 with a lunch break between 12:30 and 2:00, so 10 hours of training in all.
The deadline for registration is 01/10/15.
