Hi.
This is an excellent book.
I have the book, quite expensive though.
It contains many insightful articles, some that draw out the common roots of maqam music in Arab, Turkish and Persian music.
Many of the articles bring fresh and inspired insights into Middle Eastern music, rather than just repeating the conventional approaches.
