Furat - New recording by Nizar Rohana

Hello all

Just to point you in the direction of Nizar Rohana's new album, which is out today. I'm lucky enough to have spent some time with it already and it's really superb, creative, beautiful music. The format is a trio, with Matyas Szandai on bass and Wassim Halal on percussion. More info on his website:

http://www.nizarrohana.com/news/nizar-rohana-announces-release-his-...

and it's available through cdbaby.

I grabbed it from iTunes first thing this morning and I've been listening to it all day. I think it's even better than his previous record (Sard).

I agree! The sound is superb - very natural and not overproduced, like many oud recordings. And the pieces are beautiful.

And I'm still hoping to hear about some performances in the States. Nizar - what can we do to get you to extend your tour across the sea?

Mich, It's seems difficult nowadays to get into the US 'market' for the kind of music I do. I would appreciate any advice!

Nizar, I'm not in the business, but I know some people who are.
I'll contact them and get back to you if I find out anything useful.
