Flying Bird critique


Hi everyone,

I've been playing this piece since last Autumn I think. I think my version is ok 'on paper' but I don't feel I've nailed it yet. Specifically the section I'm talking about is at 1.29 in the video here

I've tried improving this by using the 'sliding first finger' technique in this video but it seems my hands just aren't big enough to do this, hence I have to jump around a bit to accomplish things. Any specific tricks to take it to the 'next level' would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry about that, it's a technical exercise really. The problem with the piece is that one tends to run away with it and get faster and faster as it goes on, hence the metronome for measure. Apologies.
