Renaissance/baroque lute


I am gathering information about the lutes built in Renaissance and Baroue era.I try to find plans/dimensions and generally stuff to help me understand the geometry.
has anybody ever tried those beautifull instruments???

According to his web page, this builder has built lutes for my wife's cousin's husband's brother (a "close" relation to brag about, eh? LOL), the great Jacob Heringman: http://www.tomlinsonlutes.com/ Maybe he would share some info.
