Persian Oud/Barbat vs Turkish Oud/Turkish Barbat

This thread reminded me of a few videos I found on YouTube.

These videos are very interesting. Let's compare the sounds shall we? (with the limits of digital sound processing through cameras ;) )

Hossein Behroozinia playing a Turkish Oud made by Ibrahim Ada.

Turkish player Ensar Turnc playing a Barbat (appears to be made by Ibrahim Ada?)

Hossein Behroozinia playing his Barbat made by Persian luthier Ghanbarimehr.

Yurdal Tokcan playing what appears to be an Arabic-style Oud made by Persian Luthier Yahya.

Thanks for sharing! The barbat is such a complicated/strange topic (for many historical and often times nationalist reasons) it is good to just hear the instrument played in different hands to make sense of it in regards to the 'oud' more broadly.
