Buzz/ring on nylon string

Hi everyone! I was hoping if anyone could advise me on this.

I have a buzzing/ringing problem on the nylon String 1. However it's only the string nearest to the edge of the fingerboard. 2 notes have this problem; the one-third position where the neck and the body is joined, and a major 2nd below it. For the former, there was some unevenness at the joint area, which I suppose could be solved when the joint is flat using a sandpaper. The tone below it is a problem I can't solve.

The oud is Turkish and has an extremely low action, lower than normal. I've got another luthier to remove material on the fingerboard and this helped increased the action by a bit. It resonates better now with lesser buzz than before. The new problem now is the nylon buzz. I don't recall having this problem before. Strings are fine, I've tried new and old ones.

Does anyone else experience any problems like this?

Thanks so much!!
