Pure silver strings
Ello everyone
I was reading on the forums (old posts circa 2006) that Elias was enjoying pure silver strings from Aquila..
I sent a U2U, asking for details, but that was over a year ago and no response. sking if he still used these, and if rdered from the same place.. but
i sent that last year sometime and no response.
I'm interested to give them a try.. interested in (by Elias' account) less risha scratching noises and a more mellow/dark tone than copper.. something
that's nice for tremolo on wound strings, and phrasing more similar to the trebles.
Does anyone have any feedback on experiences of using pure silver?
Love to hear it, and doubly love to listen to any sound samples, and triply love to hear these, accompanied by data of the oud, for purposes of
calculating my own set (ie. Scale length, tuning)
