Dear friend,
what I sugest to you is to be very carefull on the quality crystalls that it has to be made of.
I have an electrical oud,and believe me,if you want quality sound that will cost you some more.it's not the woods that they are expensive, but the crystalls and the preamplification....it took me 1 year to see what I want, and I have tested more that 10 sistems.
Best regards to all

Spyros-
So, who, in your opinion, makes the best electric oud in terms of quality and most replicating the sound of the oud?

hi folks

i have a e-oud made by haluk eraydin
no daubt haluk is a great maker the wood is excelent and it is easy to play ,
but his electronic worker does not know what he is doing
first of all he cut the piezo pick up in two pieces* (?!)
now i found problems with the loudness of the middle strings
they are two low in comparison with the two higher strings witch are the loudest. and then he forgot the isolation than i've got problems with
a short circut. but thanks to god i have a good friend who is abble to fix the
probs. but i still need a new pick up maybe i check out a fishman

my result it might be a great instrument when another one installs the electronic an espaciely the pu

*it is not my first instrument with a piezo pu
i've got many guitars with such a system before

take care

I have the Najarian e-2000 electric oud. I am very very happy with it. I love the non-skip tuning pegs about it. A real time saver when tuning the instrument. The sound and electronics are perfect. I say save up some more and buy it from the inventor of the instrument.
