Can I use EJ95 d'Addario on a 57cm floating bridge oud?

Greetings,

I bought (by mistake) d'Addario EJ95 instead of EJ95A and since I'm willing to try them out, I would like to know what tuning would be suitable in my case, do I stick with the turkish designed tuning or do a cc tuning? what do you think?

Thanks a lot,

If you string that set to F ff tuning the average tension will exceed 40 N per string for sure...which is too much.... taking in consideration that most floating bridge ouds have cedar tops, which is somehow weak.

Thanks Omar, I've tried the following tuning : B F# G# C# F# B and it seems to be working fine (except for some buzzing on the lower f# string that I fixed by using only one string instead of two)

I think that this tuning is lower and doesn't put too much tension, right?

Anyways thanks for your answer. :)
