Would need to look at the label, but it looks like a Zeryab Oud?

Here are some examples of Gamil Georges ouds.

I agree that this may be Syrian. It looks very much like the style of my 2 ouds which are syrian, but yours has some nice fingerboard workmanship mine doesn't.

Gamil's Ouds I think look more like atrash ouds, and some have 'frets'.

Here are some examples:

which there was a label inside still!

Dear Matt,
Only the first and last of your links are gamil Georges the father the others are gamil Georges the Son from his lower quality workshop. Also if you look at the rosettes... very similar. Also I have seen this fingerboard on other gamil Georges.
Leads me to believe with high certainty its gamil Georges father.

Hi Samir,
Your right! The GG sons Ouds are way inferior, but I wasn't sure which GG you meant so included the sons ouds as well.
To me, it looks more syrian to ones i've seen, but you may be right that it is from Egypt! Without a label, how to verify further? Regardless, i'd like to try it out!:airguitar:
btw- it looks like the large rosette is coming off in the top middle. That is an easy repair i believe, right Samir?
cheers!
