Bridge height of the strings causing buzzing?

Hey guys!

im planning on buying a new oud because the one i have is really poorly made and sounds terrible.
I bought it in Mohammed Ali street in Egypt and at first i thought it sounded bad due to my playing but turned out it was trashy to beginn with haha
Anyway until i find a model that fits me i want to get rid of that annoying buzzing i keep getting from the F A and especially D strings! My guess is that the holes in the bridge are drilled too low so id want do redrill them exaclty above the holes already there.
I have attached a picture of the bridge.
Do you think thats the reason for the buzzing?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You can raise the strings at the bridge quite a bit without having to drill new holes. This is done by puling up the strings at the bridge. There is a video posted by a member here which demonstrates how it is done. If you search Oud buzzing in this forum, I’m sure his video will come up.

Hey thank you for your reply!

unfortunately im already familiar with this trick and already pulled it up and also raised the action by putting a piece of cardboard behind the nut, but the buzzing still didnt go away....
