Abozekry's Oud

What did Mr. Abozekry do to his Oud here? Some sort of feedback prevention I guess?

Hello
I think they recorded Abozekry's oud from 3 points to get 3 different sounds:
- soundboard from ischell piezo mic on the top
- acoustic oud sound from vocal mic in front of small rosette. Others holes are blocked to concentrate sound from one hole.
- picking plectrum sound from small cardiod mic under high strings
I guess they can blend it for an original global sound.
Surprising technic indeed...
