sound of Aquila strings

Hey all,

I have noticed something strange about my aquila strings. I have noticed that the sound is a bit metallic on the lower strings. Its kind of hard to describe what i'm talking about here, but it seems that I can get a much deeper sound from oud if I were to try a different kind of string. Now I've never tried using any other kinds of strings on this oud but I'm just speculating. Has anyone out there noticed this or am I just crazy?:xtreme:

I haven't noticed it. However, I've only tried Aquila strings in Arabic tuning, not in Turkish tuning. I don't know which you're using...
