The pictures won't load by I think I have an oud by a guy named mustafa mustafa.

I bought it off ebay from Yeia's Nile shop. The same guy who brokers shehata deals.

The shop it came out of is called gawharet el fan. If I remember correctly the label did say named mustafa mustafa.

As for my oud, its an ok oud but its clearly a middlel level or begginer. I paid 250 off ebay before shipping and such.

The sound is good and its very playable. What would change is the pegs, the nut and I need to replace the floating bridge because the saddle caved in a bit which caused some buzzing.

The construction of the bowl, neck and face is pretty good. I have never seen a high quality oud by him so I couldn't tell you.

I asked about egyptian ouds here many times and everyone insists on shehata and Im sure you can negotiate one of his within your price range.

other recomendations given to me were marcos and jafari. But I would be more comfortable getting a shehata. The adress of his shop is on mikes main web page, have ur friend go talk to him.

my oud is made by him, ive been playing for about 6 months and its served as a good beginner instrument. the sound quality of it is not too bad, and it seems to be well made for the most part.
