well, pegs are OK & smooth, but I would like them to be more beautiful...
wood on back & pegs are made of kind of palisander, 20 years ago, Kamil got it from one of the Kibutzes that imported it and than had no use in it...

Shukran Akram!

Yes, you are right, it's mahagony, a friend of mine Eli, instrument make have just seen the oud and he says it's mahagony. ;-)
I live in Tel Aviv used to live in Haifa before, and I learned oud at Bar Ilan some years ago, and after that in Arabic - Jewish Merkaz in Jafo. I hope to become professional in some time, now, I feel that I need some more studies, but sometimes, I have some small gigs here & there....:airguitar:

Well, I once had the oud of Abu Ala, it was very sweet, before he started to do floting bridge, now his ouds are even better. A lot of people have Amin Hadad ouds...Probably there are some other people on the forum who will know better about the makere in here...I'm very satisfied with Kamil's one. Newer heard the Samir Totah oud...

Hi everbody,

Marina, mabrouk for the new oud, nice oud you have there ;-)

Oudman, Amin Hadad was passed away 3-4 years ago. A couple of my friends have ouds made by him, and these ouds are really good.

Regards
Muhammad.

ahlan rami
there are 3 known makers & a couple of others with a less experience
1)abu alla (wich i think is the best)
2)kamil
3)hatem jubran
there are also other makers such as : butrus , elias jubran,
samer totah ,
anyway the first 3 are the most famous makers here

Hi Marina- been following this post but not sure of your last comment, are you selling the oud you just got and posted photos of in this thread? How much is that in US dollars?
I have an oud by HaluK (may the Lord grant him Peace) which has an all mahogony bowl and it sounds very nice. What is your main oud? :airguitar: Best wishes, MW
