Bridge the bridge

Hi all,

I play my oud regularly, on average 2 hours a day. Last night after finishing my practice i put the Oud aside and 5 min later the bridge comes flying right of the soundboard...i felt the pain .:(. i am sure you guys relate to how i felt... however, now i have to deal with fixing it and i need it ready before march 15 since i have a performance. Any suggestions on how to fix it or where to take it to get it fixed, I live in Toronto, Ontario. I really need your help... you can contact me directly at ghariri@gmail.com or via this forum... Thanks very much.

The problem with your oud is a common one. It happens quite often. You don't have to worry about it because it can be repaired easily by any skilled instrument maker in Toronto,a guitar, lute or violin and not necessarily by an oud maker.
good luck!
