left handed oud playing

Any lefty oudies out there? Or know someone who is a left-handed oud player?
It seems like there are three approaches to playing lefty.
1. Reverse the stringing
2. Just learn to play the way right handers do
and
3. I knew a guy in Chicago Walid Habib who turned the oud upside down.

So what do people do or advise?

My advice

Play it the way it is. You won't have any problems in the future and you will be able to try any oud you come across.

Our friend Greg here in the forum is a left handed and he plays it the way right handed play it.

Trust me you will be a winner at the end.

Good luck

Kind Regards,

I am left-handed and I am learning it as a right hander. We have an advantage. Our left hands are the dominate. While our right hand is strumming, which is usually the same thing over and over; our left hand is learning to place itself, up and down the on the board. Whereas, if you learned it left-handed, your left hand would only be strumming. Something so teadious for the dominate hand? Good luck. --Alex
