Arabic Lyrics

Hello fellow oud lovers,

I have a request for lyrics to two Arabic songs. They are both Saba songs and I would like to sing them correctly.
First one is called Salamat salamat. The second one goes like this: (don't make fun if I didn't hear correctly :))
Lateel abennar bihra sabihaag

I would appreciate if someone can help me out with the lyrics written in English, as I don't read Arabic.

The payment will be in the form of a Saba taksim recording :)))

Regards,

Udi Mike

Mike,

I'd love to help you with these songs but the info you gave us is not enough "to me" at least.

The salamat salamat song ... who sings it and do you have an audio file to use in order to help you? This goes for the other song as well. I I do not think it is easy to recognize the songs from their names as such.

Re: the arabic words you wrote ... I take it you got them by ears - They can not be written this way but they mean ... Do not play with fire , it will burn your finger(S).

Have you got any audios to make it easy to help you? please

See how you go.

Kind Regards,

Hi Mike,

Do you mean, "Salma ya Salama" or is it Salamat Salamat?

There is also a song Farid el-Atrache composed for a popular singer...can't remember his name, but in the refrain there was "Salamat Salamat". TP...do you remember the song I'm thinking about?

Best,
Mike

Samir,

The song you mentioned "sang by Moharam Foad" is not in Saba - I doubt that Mike thought it is in saba !!!

Thanks for going out of your way to help. But that's not it. Here I recorded short segments of both songs quickly.
Salamat first...

salamat Salamat

Thanks for the links Mike. This made it much easier.

Here you go ... Salamat by Nadia Mustafa - words as follows...

salamat .. salamat salamat ya habebna ya baladi’yat x2

shof safro ma’ak kam wahed .. ma wa hashna menhom wahed x2

la..la.. la.. la la la da enta wahashtena bezat.

-------------------

teswa eh el esha baeed .. winta feha ghareeb wi waheed x2

danla’eat fel ghorba elmaal fen hatel’ah rahet elbaal x2

yaben baladi sada’a min Al mefe shee anena yeghneek.

-------------------
salamat .. salamat salamat ya habebna ya baladi’yat x2

shof safro ma’ak kam wahed .. ma wa hashna menhom wahed x2

la..la.. la.. la la la da enta wahashtena bezat.

-------------------

hegret eh elee tekhaleek , tedni nas bey dobo feek x2

ay boad benel ahbab mama kan helwel asbab x2

bardo feh lilnafs azab wintezar ala nar bet e’ed.

-------------------

salamat .. salamat salamat ya habebna ya baladi’yat x2

shof safro ma’ak kam wahed .. ma wa hashna menhom wahed x2

la..la.. la.. la la la da enta wahashtena bezat.

-------------------

elhekaya ya nor el eein, shof shababak berooh fain x2

kol shee filldonya yehon , winlaeelo badeel madmoon x2

gheer shababna da mahma yekoon lao yedee hangeboh meneen

-------------------

salamat .. salamat salamat ya habebna ya baladi’yat x2

shof safro ma’ak kam wahed .. ma wa hashna menhom wahed x2

la..la.. la.. la la la da enta wahashtena bezat.

-------------------

I honestly can not recognize the other song but if you have it sung by any singer i'll get the words written for you that if salamat was done good enough.

Good luck mate

Thanks Emad. One down, one to go. Does anyone have a recording of this song by any chance? Am I asking for too much? I don't mind buying the CD if I can find out who sings it. I heard it from Omer Faruk Tekbilek long time ago.

Unfortunately I don't remember who I heard the other song from.

Thanks Samir. I will ask for more :)

Which reminds me, did you guys intentionally not recognize the songs to make me play?
I will record the taksim as soon as I get the lyrics for the other song.

I just edited my post and added the song.

Samir, Moharam Foad's song "ya waheshny" was written by Farid El atrach - This is more like Farid's musical forms.

"la tel3ab bel nar, te7ra2 sabee3ak"

No?

As it is, a member from the Levant (Grand Sham) can help rectify my transcription. (I'm Egyptian ... )

This is a link to the song sung by ragheb 'alama:
http://music.6arab.com/3alama..la-tel3aab-benaar(7afla).rm

And this is the transcription for it:

la tel'ab bel nar, te7ro2 sabee'ak
yally byeshtereek, byerja' yebee'ak ... beybee'ak.

ya habeeby, el hossad ektar
deer balak men shee mehwar
la tkhally el hawa el ghaddar
ye'tof zahret rabee'ak

yally byeshtereek, byerja' yebee'ak ... beybee'ak.

enta rouhy el hanoune
enta alby o 'oyouny
enta farahy o jnouny
b'kelle el dahab ma b'bee'ak.

la tel'ab bel nar, te7ro2 sabee'ak

I'm guessing, but I'm not sure, that the first time the first part is sung, it's sung like this ..

ya habeeby elly mala alb ktar
deer balak men shee mehwar
la tkhally el hawa el ghaddar
ye'tof zahret rabee'ak
