oud case?
Dear all,
I am neew to the forum. I am in teh Uk and looking for a a good oud case (hard). Any suggestions? I have a Bashir style Iraqi oud.

The best i've seen so far is from Mr Sukkar
it costs 40$ without shippment
it's made of fiber and very protective

Hello Khan,
I don't have a hard case myself, but I also am looking for one for my Turkish. I found a very nice turkish hard case, quite expensive.
All i can find for Egypt ouds was a case that seemed to be low quality and is priced accordingly. The cheapest price i can find on that case was

I finally ordered one from Ibrahim Sukkar. He can usually ship it from Halab to any place you want. I have people who are going to visit me from
Beirut, so I aked him to deliver it there. The cost was very minimum. All in all will cost around $50. Brilliant!

I have used it before and it is really great. I have flown with it everywhere. It fits in the plane's cabin and is reasonably sturdy. I think it is
the best value for many , compared to the other ones that I have seen.
I also saw yesterday an Iraqi oud player visiting London from Baghdad and he seemed to have a great oud case. He was telling me that they are making
some really good one in Baghdad, yet there is no way of directly ordering one.

There is no reply though I am emailing Mr.Sukkar many times.
How are you buying a hard case from Mr.Sukkar?
