Because its not a real Mohamed Fadel. A popular syrian imitation you can find rather often. Still might be a nice sounding oud.

yeah, sorry- this exact oud came to me for free a couple years ago- the face is a 1/2 inch thick, the neck feels like a 2 by 4 and the pegs are all
different shapes and sizes- I tried to fix it up, but the peg box was too stubborn... I know this is not a fadel. I promise.
