when I removed the backplate veneer, I founf there was a full length insert in the pegbox.

so I made a new end block to sprread the walls out to fit the neck. It has my new patented foot extension to better support the pegbox stresses. I put in a couple of pegs to align the holes whilst clamping.

YES! Congratulations. Your prize can be claimed in Vancouver, WA. (or equivalent value $.50) U2U for directions. Well, that wasn't so hard after all so the next quiz will be tougher. I'll leave the first peg out to string it up right handed and see how it sounds. The bracing looks pretty symmetrical as much as I can see anyway.
