Thought I would post a translation of this:

"It is fortunate that there are more interesting things in this forum."

Amine, if you don't have anything useful to contribute, perhaps it is better if you just keep quiet.

David

Courtesy of Wikipedia:

"In Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, often in the form of posting messages that are inflammatory, insulting, incorrect, inaccurate, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others."

Amine... Thank you for hijacking this post it shows what kind of man you are.

I posted this to share with the members of the forrums ( I dont concider you a member and so does most people that dont pay attention to your hissy fits, And you were Baned in the first place and it should have stayed this way. Your useless and you dont bring anything of any value. David is right, read it and look in the mirror.) Did you think I posted this for you? did you feel all special inside? Did I ask hey what do you think of this Amine? no...

I dont think if you read carefully, Can you find a phrase where I even asked if anyone think its good or not. And you are probably the last person I would ask for advice Because quite frankly you dont know anything about the oud or arabic music. Stick with your Jazz.

Maybe you are Jealous of me because I can share things with people that can apreciate it. And when you write something... usualy " inflammatory, insulting, incorrect, inaccurate, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others." Thank you David for the wonderfull quote. Then people usualy let you know how worthless you are.
Realize the trend. 3 options for you 1- Change your attitude or if cant do it 2- Dont speak and hold your thoughts for yourself because nobody wants to hear you anymore 3- Go away and go on a soul searching trip, take up yoga or something. Iam affraid there is no other viable option for you. Just follow the trend... statisticly its not going to get anybetter for you buddy.
Dont bother writing back I wont entertain you. Actions speak louder then words.

Once again, I think it's time for Mr. T to step in here and dispense some words of wisdom:

This person is looking to provoke. If no one responds at all to his comments we will deny him the satisfaction he gets from people's reactions, which he happily uses to keep his tirades going. Samir, tawwel balak.

Dear Amine2,

Correction: The instrument you refer to is called:

1) "Darbouka" in North Africa (Mor., Tun., Alg., Lib.)
2) "Tablah" in Egypt and Palestine
3) "Derbakki" in Lebanon and Syria
4) "Dumbelek" in Turkey
4) "Touberleki" in Greece
5) "Tombak" in Iran
6) "Doumbeg" in Armenia
7) "Darbouka" in Israel (explanation? - see #1, above)

I am not sure which name is used in Iraq. (And couldn't find it on-line.)

So, "darbouka" prevails in North Africa (and Israel).

The WORD "tabla" or "tablah" used in Palestine & Egypt is the same as the word used in India, but it refers to the ARABIC drum.

:D

Peace,
Udi John

In Iraq the goblet drum is called darabukkah, tablah, or dunbak. Palestinians and Egyptians use both tablah (tablih) and darbukkah (durbakkih). Darbukkah appears in varied spellings and pronouncations in Arabic usage, but it's essentially the same word. The word darbukkah or a variant of it is used universally throughout the Arab world, but in many places the word tablah is used alongside it. The tablah is actually a modern version of the traditional folk darabukkah - it is a louder and more high strung percussion instrument that became commonly used by popular urban groups. But we now think of the two as being the same thing.

Amine,

Correction: The touberleki in Greece and tombak in Iran are SLIGHTLY different from the Arabic darbukka/tabla--different materials, somewhat different sound quality, somewhat different playing technique--but are essentially the same instrument. :))

Peace,

Amine, you seem to have trouble getting the message, so I've enlisted the help of Mr. T's French cousin, Monsieur T (who bears a striking resemblance to the great man himself):

"Tais-toi, imbécile!"

Amine/Amine2,

Stop what? Are you addressing me? Why don't you stop posting irrelevant comments and hijacking threads? I was just showing you that you are not as knowledgeable as you believe.

Peace,
Udi John
