Is this the proper way of constructing a Bashir oud? The design looks very Arabic with the alternating black and white pattern!

This is a classical oud: as you can see is the bridge glued. That the bowl is made of alternating colours of wood has nothing to do whether it is Bashir oud or classical.

When I said that the alternating black and white colors looked Arabic, I meant that it reminded me of the Iraqi and Palestinian black and white scarf.

What type of glue was used to stick the bridge to the soundboard? (originally)

I wish to add about this oud by Yaroub that the rose is made of bone. Bowl of Rosewood/Palisander and plane tree.

You also need to show me some local songs! It's awesome that you're in Dubai, Zulkarnain is coming soon... which reminds me, Zul, tell me when you're coming so we can all meet up.

That's winderful thing!

I love munir basheer and all my plays is from his music even my style in playing oud is similar to him(I will approve it for you). About local things and songs, i am very bad in it (suprise, isnt it?), because i dont find any value in our traditional music except its reflect our culture that's why i respect it.
any way, I hope this meeting will be valuable for all of us....!
