Xurxo Romani, galician music and some oud


This is a full CD under a creative common license.

There is some oud inside. His music is a blend of galician, mediterranean arabic etc; very nice.

This man is a galician musician of "zanfona", see the photo, i do not know the english translation, may be hurdy gurdy.

Did you know that here is an old galician music tradition of songs called "Alalas"?? Probably of gregorian origin, andfor sure with deep arabic roots.
Remember the big Andalusi General and dictator Almanzor, Xth century, he brought the bells of the Saint Jacques Cathedral down to Qurtuba, on the shoulders of prisoners, after burning the old church.
