help for recording videos


Last week I recorded Naseer Shamma playing on some tv show on Art america channel. I could use some help for the transfer on my computer if anyone can help, so I may be able to post them on this forum

I saw a naseer shamma interview on masari tv with his students. it was about his school. and they played on the set. if its the same one i would love to get a copy once u figure it out.

I guess the first question is I assume u recorded it on VHS?

if u did, my assumption is u prob need a software program and connectors to connect ur VHS to ur PC. I assume RCA couldd work if u had the proper adapter.

No its not the same interview but this one has 2 short interesting taqsims.They were interviewing some known iraqi people to talk about irak and Naseer was one of them. thx for the help I will see if I can do this, if not then I'll try filming it.

Digitizing video


Hi,
Assuming you've recorded onto VHS, you need either a multimedia card with RCA inputs on your computer, (not so common) or a USB video capture thingy with those RCA ins,

or you could dub the tape onto miniDV (digital camcorder) then use the firewire connection to capture the digital video into your computer. (Many computers have firewire nowdays).
