It is an exceptional oud. I'm VERY pleased with it. Expensive? I don't think so, considering the quality. I had absolutely no problem with service.
They told me it would take 40 days. It took 40 days! I was emailed when it was posted, who it was posted with, and updated daily until the oud
arrived. It all went perfectly. The sound is warm, loud and beautiful. I can't speak highly enough of it. Regarding price, you should ask Gokce of http://www.turkishouds.com as Turkish prices vary weekly, and he is very friendly.

Hey,
Question, what is the service like at Cankaya?
I visited their branch in Tünel and in Unkapanı in 2005, they had some lovely instruments. Some of the ouds had a rather higher action, but many
were superb.
I've also been curious about the quality of their tanburs.........any bad notes?
What are they like to order from/shipping around the world?

My tanbur has no bad notes, seems well made, good case. It arrived in a big box, well packed, on time. Finances went without a hitch. No problems. I
live in Scotland.
