floating bridge project

Finally the last month a friend of mine started to make for me a floating bridge oud inspirated by some measurement taken from a Fadel copy.
The wood used for this instruments is 23 old Indian rosewood and first quality "maschiato" Italian spruce from Val di Fiemme, the inside of neck and pegbox is maple.
In the first attachment you will find a picture of my first notes

Nice work by your friend Lazarro. Nice wood too. Is your friend normally a lute-maker?

The wood for the back is beautiful..that's some really choice Indian Rosewood; not just some overly dark and boring stuff -- it's got some grain going on dude !! Can't wait to see more of this project. Thanks for chronicles Lazzaro.

Cheers..PaulO

My friend Agostino

Hi friends, I and my friend Agostino are very happy for your words. Agostino is a amatorial liuther, he made mostly violins, violas and cellos. He made also guitars and after having known me two years ago he started making ouds too, this is the fourth he made since then.
In the attachment will find a pictures of the third one with hand made pegs.
Sincerely Maurizio
