Jean Luc's New Oud

Hey guys,

Jean Luc wanted me to put these pictures up of his new oud. The maker is Michael Moussa, and he is currently working in the UK. If you have any questions on how to contact him, Jean Luc or Adel can help you out.

Mike

Jean-Luc, what are the woods used in your oud, and what is your appraisal after playing it?

It's a nice looking instrument.

Beautiful

A very elegant instrument - I'm liking single sound hole instruments more than ever.

Yeah, don't you guys love this? Original and still traditional looking. It really sounds beautiful too.

Again, I hope you always enjoy it!

This oud looks very nice. Does anyone else have any pics of his work?

Mav, you mentioned it sounds nice. How do you know? Does Mr. Moussa have a website yet?

Hi Jameel. I had a chance to see it and try it out a little in person the first time Mike and I met with Adel and Naziha in Cairo. They had it with them.

In case you guys didn't notice, it's actually a seven course oud. Very cool, but I don't remember what woods were used.
Sorry. He really should have a website, he does very beautiful work.

Take care,

mav

Thanks Mav,

Jeanluc, could you post some sound clips for us and maybe some closer photos? This is the most interesting oud I have seen of late. Very classy and reserved design. Like an old Nahat.
