Can't wait to get mine either. Lucky for me, mine is coming with an Abraham oud inside it too! I will post more information in another thread soon. Hopefully I'll continue to be in the black in poker. :D

Woo Hoo!!!

Yeah,

I can't wait to get mine too - should be in after the weekend.

Mike, this is amazing news! Mabrouk! Let us know when you get it, and keep going all in when it counts! ;)

Take care,

mavrothis

Wauw, those cases ARE nice! I cannot even imagine how comfy my oud would feel in one of those! *Sigh*! I wish I played more (and better) poker!

Hey,

Just received my case today! It is great! I love that it is protected well with padding and more, and also it's great that when I wear it on my shoulders like a backpack, the pegbox area is below my head's level, so there isn't the danger of accidentally banging it into a door frame as I walk under it...sounds silly, but an important factor for me.

Thanks Jameel! It fits my oud beautifully, along with all my extras like strings, tuner, picks, etc!

Take care,

mavrothis

Thanks fellas. A few others also got their cases this week so far and love them. I'm actually sold out of the first batch, but have more on order. This time around there will be some other colors too. It seems lots of people really like the red. I have to admit, it does look nice. The lighter colors also offer a big advantage, they won't heat up as easily as black, and they won't show dirt quite as bad either.

Gee thanks for making me feel bad for getting black. honestly these are the greatest cases i've ever seen. the zippers are heavy duty and the oud fits in there purfectly and snug. i was concerned that the snug fitting for the neck would knock some pegs and cause them to unravel but so far no problems. i really love this case and wouldnt hesitate to buy another one. thanks jameel!!!

Don't worry Ramy. I got black too. Black is my favorite color. I always buy black cars, clothes...I just dig black.

Don't forget about Jameelo's oud stands too. Those things are killer!

Thanks Ramy.

I sold out of the cases already!

But good news, I will be restocked in about a month or two. And this batch will have a slightly deeper size to accomodate larger ouds. Regular size and Turkish ouds will still fit very well, I just bumped up the bowl capacity a tad.

I'll also be offering three new colors this time around. Everyone went bonkers over the red (it looks great) so I ordered up some others as well. The gray this time will also be much darker.

Thanks again everybody.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I'm also working on a brand new oud accessory, along the lines of the soft case. I'm still working with a prototype, but I think this will be a very useful item. Stay tuned.....

hi Jameel,

you have a great site!.........and i love the look and sound of the "Sandwich Top" oud.
i'm very familiar with that building technique as a good friend of mine builds classical and flamenco guitars for a living.................But i never heard of it used on any other stringed instrument........VERY COOL!!

i wonder how a "Lattice" type design would work for oud.......??

hi Mike,

is the "Sandwich Top" oud the one you're getting?..............i know i'd love to have it.
