DIMITRIS RAPAKOUSIOS Ouds

Hi everyone

Does anyone out in Oudsville own one of Dimitris's ouds? They look great :) and I am interested to hear players opinions on them.

Thanks

I own one of Dimitris ouds and it is great; one of his Turkish Inlaid Models. The workmanship is first rate and the sound is great. The action is low yet it sounds big with sustain and projection without buzzing and is very responsive in any style and any tuning. I would instantly recommend one of his instruments. And I'm very picky. He also has high quality hard shell cases. Like you I was impressed by the looks. It looked like it was good. And I was correct. It is amazingly good. D.L.

Hi there,

I think if you decide to order from Dimitris, you will be very happy with your instrument. He does amazing work, and his sound is truly unique.

Take care,

mavrothis

Hey there...

Dimitris has a website, you can send him an email and he is quite happy to discuss your artistic desires and tailor the Oud to the sound you like...Unfortunately for me I don't own one of his great Ouds (its on my wish list) but I had the pleasure of trying out a few of them at ross dalys workshop in Crete..they truly are amazing instruments..beautiful sound great action and playability would defiantly buy one if I had the cash!!!

here is his web link http://www.dimitrisouds.com/
and email address myrinousios@hotmail.com

regards

Ash
