Sustain, loudness on an oud

Hi guys ,
can you tell me a combination of wood,
if I want an oud sounding loud and having as much sustain as possible?
I've read something about rosewood
in another topic of the forum.
Can you be more specific?
regards

Hi Bluesy,

I'm no oud building expert, but I do know that most of the quality of the sound is produced by a well made face. Lots of factors are involved, much of it we don't see. Maybe somebody more knowledgable can help out with the details.

Take care,
Mike
