Begginers question

Hello!

I´ve received a Begginers Oud from Mr. Haluk (a really great work, I have to say) but I don´t know how to tune it.

I have really, really newbie questions:

1.- My oud has 5 double strings except one (Turkish style I think). The double strings must be tuned both in the same tune, right?

2.- The oud pegs are really hard to be turned (way diferent from a guitar) and Im worried about breaking them while Im tuning the oud... are they suposed to be that hard?

Thanks!!! :airguitar:

Give the pigs some time. If you're still having hard time with them, try the suggestions in ...

As usual, caution is the word .. :-)

Congrats on the Haluk. Play it in good health.

Hi Edo,

If your place humid the pegs may turn hard.Keep the oud from humid.
This summer the weather is very dry and hot 39-45C in Turkey.
The wooden pegs may become tumid because of humid.
If you can't turn the pegs after dried send e-mail to my sazmaker@yahoo.com address.
Regards.
