Nice find! I didn't think it would work but I found some octave mandolin tab for "Ode to Joy" and it worked as well. Fantastic!

Only can work if you misinterpret the tab and consider the 1 to be the string most grave. The melody will be altered because it fall down when it is
supposed to go up.
