It looks like a slide guitar...just look at the upside down tuning pegs... Great instrument anyway.

That looks like the slide (Weisenborn style) that belongs to Ben Harper. The maker, David Dart made me a tambour saz that is absolutely amazing. His hurdy gurdies and lutes are world class. He can make just about anything. I have to start posting some pictures of his stuff.
