Hello,

this instrument is nothing remarkable. It is a so called "Wandervogellaute" from germany from about 1920. Theese instruments are made in a mass production and today you will find hundreds or thousands of them. They have nothing to do with with the ancient european lute from the 16th to 18th century. In most cases it is not worth to pay more than 300$ for them. The asked price is toooo high!

Regards Matthias

Nice looking old Lute Guitar.
I had one back in the 70s; looked nice but didn't sound or play too well. Most of these old instruments have major issues that would be too costly to repair. One of these days I'd like to find one that was in really good shape and played nice. I like the concept of the lute-guitar, but really it's just a fancy guitar... (Better off getting a real Renaissance Lute.)
