hi, oud fellas.
i thought about creating a topic for sharing of various exercises for practicing oud which you consider helpful.
i have switched to oud after 11 years of playing violin. it doesn't really help me a lot (except that i kinda feel the distances without frets) but i
know something about the process of learning. and good exercises are essential to get to know to the instrument intimately.
my own personal recommendation for any beginner is Jamil Bashir's Oud Method book shared somewhere in this forum.
now i'd like to enquire if maybe someone has some exercises for ornamentation? i'd like to get familiar with various ornamentation techniques that
are, imo, the most wonderful thing in art of oud playing.
