Barbat ( iranian ud ) / skin soundboard
Hello
Just a link to show you an instrument I didn't know before.
It is a barbat, but with a skin face.
Can someone share with us file to listen to the sound of tis instrument? Unfortunately, the videos sound on the website is quite bad.

Hi Suz i dil. I look my database for Iranian barbat with skin face. Unfortunately there is no data. I found another skin faced instrument. Not an oud.
It is a CUMBUS. The original maker of this instrument is Suleyman Suat Sezgin from Eskisehir TURKIYE. Here is a link for you.

This is also a very interesting instrument. Actually I was just seeking for audio records. Just to discover this kind of instrument, and to heard what
bring the skin on the sound of those instrument.
I thought that usually cumbus was an instrument play with metal strings and also with metal body.Did you made record of it?

it is performed on a barbat similar to the one you were inquiring about, made by the same maker Mr. Ghanbarimehr. I am not a great fan of the player
that is performing and the video is fairly short.
