Looking for Adel Salameh CD

With Nazila Azzouz; CD title Kanza. I'm drawing a blank with my Usual Sources - does anybody know where I can get this online? (The track Le Rendez Vous Imaginaire just knocks me out.)

And he's such a great oud picker ...

Thanks.

Got it! This CD should be in everybody's permanent rotation. (Me, telling you what to do?!) The picking is superb, the vocals are what I'm sure the angels listen to, nice instrumental blend ... I can't say enough good about it.

I'd like to say that having it playing eases the work, but I have to drop everything and listen. Le rendez vous imaginaire and Forgiveness are maybe the prize cuts - to me, anyhow, each an unscheduled work-stoppage in themselves. I also like Anouar Brahem's Le pas du chat noir a lot; the right note at the right time, with that really spare accordion and oud mix ... whew. Kanza does the same thing for me with the clarinet/oud combination. Must hear to appreciate!

It might not be everybody's cup of tea, tho'; there's no full-auto machine-gun-style picking - and I guess there's a place for that - just good concentrated listening from somebody who definitely knows what he's doing. No home is really happy without a copy.

Thanx again, Matthew.

Master of the Oud
(PlayaSound PS65259)

1. Taqsim Bayati 7:35
2. Taqsim Ajam 8:15
3. Samai Nahawand (Mas'ud Jamil) 9:22
4. Taqsim Nahawand 5:59
5. Musica Nahawand 4:03
6. Taqsim Shudaraban 17:21

This is probably his BEST Cd of true to form Syrian oud.
