Percussion Stuff

Greetings all,

I was listening to "When the Soul is Settled" from Rahim Alhaj, and the style of the percussion really impressed me. I started playing darbuka ages ago, and, being self taught, over the years I seem to have developed a very elaborate style, borrowing a lot from Indian tabla techniques and such. But after hearing the direct simplicity of Souhail Kaspar's style, I feel like maybe what I've been doing is the sheerest overkill. His playing is beautiful!

Anyway, he's got an instructional DVD out, and I was wondering if anyone here has used it:

Kaspar's DVD

Seems like a nice way to get down to basics and develop some clean technique.

I hope you are all well.
