Master luthier made Persian Tamboor Collectors

Hi I posted this in the wrong category

Persian Tamboor Master Luthier 20yrs old

I have a collectors quality Tamboor made by a renowned Ostad at least 20years old. The person I got it from had it made from the master luthier. I play Tar and Setar and started learning the
percussive melodies of the Tamboor style. Now I need to sell several of my instruments including a Persian Barbat, a student level Tar, and a Ghadban Oud. This instrument is absolutely beautiful aesthetically, the old wood grains and textures are a delight to see and touch. Carved from a single solid piece of Mulberry wood, the bowl is very light and highly resonant. You can feel it vibrate as you play. You will not easily find another Tamboor of this quality and lineage. I am asking $1250 + S/H OBO which is a great deal , just because I need to the money have to move and can't take all my instruments.

If you are in Kerminshah locally and can buy one there for $500 , that is great. This is an old master made Tambur. I paid $1500 for it some years ago. I have friends in Iran and they have told me that newer high end Tamboor in Tehran are already around $1000.00 without case which is another $80 for a cheap case or $120 for a good one like the one I have. Then shipping it to the US is another
$150 with no guarantee it will arrive or that it won't be damaged. With the political situation now, shipping out of Iran is a roll of the dice. Still you get a new
instrument of wood that has not matured.

I am willing to take offers on the Tambur , but not $500

It's like buying the best setar of the moment, you can get it for $900 , but a
10 or 20 year old setar from the same maker is sometimes 50% more

khoda hafez

thanks

for all please look at the other pics I posted
