which wood to use for a floating bridge?

I have a cheap floating bridge oud that I am making improvements to. Which wood is recommended to use for the bridge? I have replaced the nut with a bone one already and removed the varnish from the sound board. many thanks.. Josh

Usually luthiers use hard wood for floating bridge, such as palissander or ebony.
I don't know about incidence on the sound.
