Hi Nedal, On my Sukar I have used, Aquilla nial gut, Pyramid lute strings and Pyramid Orange label oud strings. After a long time with each set, for me my favorite are Pyramid orange label oud strings. They are also the cheapest but I would use them even if they were not. That said, string choice is a very personal matter so we can only state our prefered choice. I like the feel, sound and tension of the Orange label set more than the others I've mentioned. Good luck with your choice and I hope others reply. Charlie.

Just stay away from the "3 Pyramid" strings... they are not the same...

Am I? Hey Chris, I did'nt know this and was unaware I was even a candidate !. Now I've got to form an administration and implement my foreign policy which involves getting our boys out of Iraq as soon as possible and getting them all to bring an oud home with them. 50% of them will return via Syria where they will each purchase an oud form Ibrahim Sukar. This will all be payed for by the low down greedy bums that caused the credit crunch. The ouds will be distributed for musical education and forever seen as symbols of Peace. The low down greedy bums that caused the credit crunch will then be deployed to Iraq and ordered to rebuild the country to Iraq's own specifications. :airguitar::bounce:

Nice opinion and idea, Charlie......Chris found a great president: education is the best rampart against bombs....and may be you could tell to Mohamed Khalifa that by working like he did under his late father's autority gives him the right to access to the business.....

I'm a big fan of the Aquilla light tension -- I've also tried the Pyramid Orange label and they sounded good too... I just perferred the tone of the Aqulla..

Hey Nedal, I have just fitted a set of Aquilla Turkish tuned to Arabic from jameel at http://www.khalafoud.com. They are lighter than the Arabic set and sound well. I've used these before and although the tone is quite different from pyramid and other nylon strings, I do like them, they are clean sounding and high quality. C.
