Hi,

As you know, you can use vibrator for so many things ....... ;)

The idea of the video above is to get harmonic vibration so the oud will vibrat at same frequency, specially, the soundboard and the braces under the sound board.

This way has no science base, it is just an experiment by this guy in the video. To have more science base, you have to measure the vibration of the sound board and braces before you install them in the oud. Dont ask me how because i dont know how to do that. As far as i know, Professional guitar maker have a device which ables you to measure the vibration.

Please dont try that, because it might damage your instrument and creates cracks and make the braces lose specially if you buy cheap oud quality.

Thanks

Hi
Is there such a thing as oud warm up? if so , can some body kindly explain?

also another question, where is the best place to keep your oud when you are not playing( between practice) is it ok to put on the stand even though the room temp is low in a cold weather like this now ( 6-8 degrees) or is it best to be kept in the cases (sof amd hard ) when you dont use it!!!!
your advice will be much appreciated

if your room is safe, warm and reasonably dry then you could park it in front of one of your speakers, that could warm it up. Or on a piano which is played regularly.
