Does anyone know what this oud might be worth?

Hi, i am negotiating with the seller on buying this oud but im not sure about the maker, it doesnt have any stickers inside but its is more decorative i think.
I dont want to play it.
Do you think this will be worth more then 1000 US dollars?
They said it was either from Syria or Iraq.
thank you

Hi Touf,

I won't be able to advice on the price, sorry:(
But looking at this Oud I think it's Syrian and seems a decent one in comparison to many MOP's I've seen
The name on the rossette spels Jawdat it could be the owner/ or maker name,
the mother of pearl work looks really good, and I liked that custom made stand looks elegant my frined and a typical Syrian craftmanship,
If you not planing to play it, I think it will complement any space it takes in your home
good luck with the deal and I would love to see more pictures if possible, sorry for the late reply:cool:

Best Regards

Awad

Too much 'art work' must hide something.
Very cordially.
