Chilean poet Pablo Neruda had an oud and bouzuki
Hi folks,
I was the poet`s home, no museum ,a couple years ago and saw these in one of his rooms. I asked the tour guide if I could see the other side. I picked
it up and saw it was quite old. I think it was Syrian, or maybe I dreamed up that part. Anybody know more about it or how he acquired it? The museum
didn`t even know what the instrument was called! there is also another Asian, or Central Asian instrument on the table.

No idea how he got ahold of the instrument, but looks like a Turkish ud to my eyes. According to Wikipedia, he did travel in South Asia. Maybe he
also visited the Near East? Maybe it was a gift from a Turkish or Arab comrade?

The thing beside the ud at the front seems to be a Greek baglamas. The long dark instrument is maybe a shamisen, sanxian or shudraga?
