Great person and oudmaker Mr. Magdy Moussa
Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago, I have received an awesome oud made by Mr. Magdy Moussa who is a wonderful person. I'm sharing some pictures because this oud
is really amazing, the craftsmanship and the materials are first quality. The back is made of rosewood, the soundboard spruce and the fingerboard
ebony. The ornaments are made of sadaf and ivory.

I SAW AND PLAYED THIS INSTRUMENT, WHILE IN UK A COUPLE OF MONTH AGO BEGORE IT WAS FRENCH-POLISHED- AND I HAVE BEEN AMAZED EVER-SINCE ABOUT THIS
NEWBORN INSTRUMENT WITH SUCH A MAGNIFICIENT RESONANCE, MELOW DEPTH AND RESPONSIVENESS- BUT NO WONDER - IT IS THE MAGIC TOUCH OF USTAD MOUSSA
WHOM YOU KNOW AS MAGDY BUT WE CALL HIM MICHAEL OR MIKHAIL EFFENDI ABU MINA
HAVE A LOT OF FUN AND PLAY IT IN GOOD HEALTH AND FULL HAPPINESS

The rosette of your new oud is the same that the one on the oud I have bought last year......a long and sad story with a "strange seller". I'll soon
post a new thread about this, things have to be known in such a case....
You can't have bad surprises with Mr Moussa. I discovered his work here on the forum, after the UK oud session last year.....seems to be amazing!

I agree Markus. Eduardo is indeed fortunate to have such a great instrument from such an esteemed maker. We are fortunate in having Michael here in
Barnsely, Yorkshire too.
This oud will continue to improve with age I'm sure
